ROCKVILLE, CT — Robin Mark, a globally-known composer and singer from Belfast, Ireland, will lead an acoustic community-wide worship service on Friday, August 25 in the gorgeous, 600-seat 1800’s sanctuary at Union Church, 3 Elm Street, in the historic Rockville section of Vernon. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the service starting at 7 p.m. Dress is casual. The facility is handicapped-accessible. No tickets are required; general admission is free. An offering will be taken to help with expenses.
During the service, Mark will lead the assembly in praise and worship through many of his original songs such as All For Jesus, All Is Well, Fly, Days of Elijah, Holy Is Our God, How Great Are You Lord, None Like You, One Day, Revival, Take Me to the River, The Wonder of the Cross, and We See the Lord. Before and after the service, participants will be able to visit displays in the church chapel by various organizations.
“The core purposes of the service are to lift up Jesus, share the Good News, and celebrate the Christian journey,” says organizer Drew Crandall; “Robin led a similar worship service at Union Church in 2012, and the sanctuary was filled to capacity. We’re inviting Christians of all traditions to gather together in unity to praise our Creator.” The service is being sponsored by Union Church, Revival In Rockville, Keep In Touch and Thrivent Financial.
