If you were asking Santa Claus for the arrest of Hillary Clinton this Christmas, then Attorney General Jeff Session’s announcement Thursday will have you believing in St. Nicholas again.

President Donald Trump and Sessions have officially ordered a new Department of Justice investigation into the Clinton-backed Uranium One deal with Russia, a controversial scheme that gave away huge portions of the United States strategic uranium reserve to dictator Vladimir Putin in 2010.

On Dec. 8, 2015 The Horn News wrote: Hillary Clinton has long been accused of using her position as secretary of state to push through a deal in which the Russian corporation Rostom acquired a uranium company, Uranium One, that owned and operated mines in the United States. Critics at the time were understandably nervous about turning over America’s uranium resources to the Russians, but the sale was quickly approved.

And, apparently, that’s when the cash started pouring in for the Clintons. Shortly after the Russians announced their plans to acquire Uranium One, Bill Clinton received $500,000 for a speech in Russia from a bank with ties to the Kremlin. That payout was only the beginning.

In the end, the Clinton family reportedly pocketed $3 million from the Kremlin. In exchange, Russia gained permanent control of 20% of America’s uranium supply, which could affect our nation’s ability to build and maintain our arsenal of nuclear weapons. The deal was about as dirty a pay-for-play scheme one could imagine.

Since The Horn News first reported on the scandal, Fox News has frequently talked about the deal… and what they found wasn’t pretty. Led by star Sean Hannity, every Fox News host (except Shepard Smith) has called for a DoJ investigation to the scandal.

In fact, Hillary’s deal with the Russians was so shady that even the notoriously liberal Washington Post called for Sessions to open an investigation this year. “Ever since Watergate, the mantra of all major corruption investigations has been to ‘follow the money.’ Well, Americans of all political stripes should be outraged by the fact that both Democrats and Republicans in Washington are up to their eyeballs in Kremlin cash,” Marc Thiessen wrote in The Post.

Finally, after years of conservative demands for an investigation, the American people are a step closer to getting the justice they deserve. Just in time for the New Year, Sessions has taken the first crucial step towards locking Hillary up.
