Is “fetal harvesting” happening on Point Street in Providence?

Clearly the 24-hour cable news cycle has de-sensitized many Americans to some of the more blood-soaked tragedies of our time. I’ve often wondered how events would have played out in Nazi Germany during the late 1930’s had there been a CNN or a FOX News around. Nevertheless, and for good and bad, the advent of modern media and the tiniest of cameras have launched us full throttle into places many folks are simply uncomfortable going. But this technology has also blown the lid off many a scandal, shedding light on and bringing justice to many a corrupt politician and/or plotting criminal.

Justice… Sounds good doesn’t it? Justice for all sounds even better, right? So what of God’s unborn babies? Who speaks for them? Where is their justice? Amidst all the blood and gore we see on the news, the discussion of abortion seems always to be bracketed by a manufactured Supreme Court interpretation and medical gibberish designed exclusively to lull us into the comfortable complacency of easy ignorance. Moreover, man’s study of the human biological sciences has empowered him with vast (albeit God given) knowledge and an equally vast ego. And he’s used both to convince himself and other misguided ideologues of wrong-headedness so horrible and immoral that it’s often difficult to comprehend.

Personally I’d always understood abortion was wrong both from a philosophical as well as faith perspective. But I’d also maintained it was between a mother and God, and neither I nor the government should be involved in what I believed was a very personal and private decision. Over time however, and with many life lessons seared into my soul, I’ve come to understand that no government which promotes its justice by way of His Ten Commandments can champion human rights for all human kind, and yet use its hard fought liberty to reconcile and endorse a practice like abortion.

So with politics out of the way let’s move beyond my personal opinions and onto the cold hard truth and reality of abortion, as recently and so shockingly brought forth by one David Daleiden and his fellow investigators from the Center for Medical Progress or (CMP). And with all the attention now focused on the issue, let’s focus on local efforts like those of Rhode Island Right to Life or (RIRTL), working diligently every day as advocates for God’s unborn babies.

At a recent lunch meeting Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Senior Director of Medical Services for Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) nonchalantly states “did a 17-weeker just this morning.”

For those who haven’t heard the gripping story, and for some event perspective, in 2013, 24 year-old Pro-Life Advocate David Daleiden founded the Center for Medical Progress to investigate in-depth bioethical issues. He began a project called “Human Capital” documenting how Planned Parenthood and their affiliates sell the body parts of aborted babies, which was ultimately highlighted on ABC’s 20/20. As part of “Human Capital” Daleiden went under-cover and presented himself as a biotech researcher representing a major firm interested in procuring human organs as harvested from unborn babies.

During a grueling 30 month investigation Daleiden and his team secretly recorded a dozen meetings with abortionists, administrators and directors like Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Senior Director of Medical Services for Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA). Millions around the world have now watched in stunned horror, the infamous video in which at one point during a light lunch of salad and wine “Doctor” Nucatola can be heard describing the precision crushing of certain areas of the baby being aborted so as not to damage the other (harvestable, ultimately saleable) organs.

In one particularly frightening statement which nearly floored me when I read of it later, she actually seemed to boast of having “did a 17 weeker” earlier the morning of the interview. As a direct result of the aforementioned media shock value, and despite the Obama administration’s efforts to debunk the videos by way of some ridiculous and frankly despicable claim of “deceptive editing”, the video has done what in the past has been excruciatingly difficult, actually breaking through the façade of propaganda style and antiseptic science regularly thrown up like a force-field by the Pro-Choice crowd as a means to soften the very hard reality of their position.

Daleiden was quoted in a recent interview: “Our investigators spent almost three years deeply imbedded with Planned Parenthood and their affiliates, and we heard from their own mouths, over and over, again and again, that they make money off of selling the parts of aborted babies and have a profit motive in doing so.”

Well now, the proverbial cat is finally out of the bag, isn’t it? And no amount of “economic” or “women’s health-care” bunk is going to change that. In fact, and despite all of the false narratives, the very people who have so vehemently defended and articulated the pro-abortion position were caught completely off guard and were outed on camera, those physicians, their Hippocratic Oaths blowing in the heated wind of a gruesome and vile hypocrisy. Consequently, the “procedure” so talked about and debated as part of some phony women’s rights/constitutional question was finally exposed for the barbaric act it really is. And the fraudulent promotion of that act as something which should somehow be embraced by a free republic has now been called into question as it hasn’t since Roe v. Wade in 1973.

All of the uproar has also highlighted local efforts and I had the great pleasure of speaking with Barth Bracy, Executive Director for RIRTL once again this past week. I know Bracy to be a stalwart defender of God’s children in the womb, and his tireless efforts on behalf of the defenseless unborn are well documented. For this reason I could think of no better brain to pick regarding these bomb shell videos and how they relate to Planned Parenthood right here in the New England area.

Bracy immediately explained the importance of localizing the issue of “fetal organ harvesting” in an effort to provide Rhode Islanders with the truth about the abortion industry. “It is stomach-churning,” he said, “to hear a top doctor for the national Planned Parenthood organization admit, on videotape, that Planned Parenthood abortionists can and will alter late abortion procedures to facilitate the harvesting of intact baby body parts, specifically mentioning their hearts, lungs, livers, even intact heads in order to fill specific pre-orders. And the second video clearly validates the first as it clearly shows it wasn’t just the ranting of one rogue employee.”

Bracy feels strongly about the first question we should be asking right here in Rhode Island; is “fetal organ harvesting”, (as described in a letter from Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) and forty-nine other senators to Sylvia Burwell, Secretary of Health and Human Services), happening right over on Point Street in Providence? And if so, do the people we elect to represent us, both our federal delegation and local reps, know of it? And will they now renounce their endorsements of the organization in light of the video revelations?

In my view, it would make perfect sense that “fetal organ harvesting” is happening here in Providence and/or at the affiliate office in Connecticut. After all, Dr. Nucatola is the Senior Director of Medical Services for Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), is she not? Wouldn’t she then make policy or set SOP for the state affiliates as well? Certainly a question which must be answered and soon…

As I finished up my conversation with Mr. Bracy he made me aware of a shocking statistic when he told me that 55% of folks in our country don’t even know that the leading provider of abortions in the United States (Planned Parenthood) even performs abortions at all. A little more research and I discovered that fully 51 % of their yearly clinic income, (their only self-sustaining revenue source) comes from abortion, 327,653 in 2014. These charlatans have truly done a remarkable job portraying the PPFA as a compassionate “women’s healthcare” organization. To be sure all local efforts are part of the bigger national Life picture, with the ultimate goal of rolling back Roe v. Wade and ending abortion. To that end, Barth Bracy and the RIRTL organization are clearly playing a critical role here in Rhode Island and the North East.

In the area of funding, more specifically taxpayer funded abortion via the many “side roads” of “Obamacare” etc. is also front and center once again. It should be noted however, that the federal government does not directly fund Planned Parenthood, but rather money is channeled there by way of grants and through affiliated agencies. It’s all legal like, but as these videos have definitely struck a chord with many Americans, the idea of a single dime of taxpayer money finding its way into Planned Parenthood’s pockets is fast becoming a sour pill for “We the People” of conscience to swallow.

Senate Majority Leader and chief political procrastinator extraordinaire Mitch McConnell has sought to avoid a battle over procedure and invoked “Rule 14”, which would essentially “fast track” an amendment exclusive to the funding question without it piggybacking an earlier highway bill amendment. Over on the House side lawmakers introduced the “Defund Planned Parenthood Act” HR 3134 which would basically set a one-year moratorium on funding for Planned Parenthood unless they stop performing abortions. This would have the effect of essentially diverting that already allotted federal money to other worthy community health organizations, serving lower income folks and actually providing beneficial health care to women across the country without killing unborn children.

Representative Diane Black (R-TN), who brought the bill with 80 co-sponsors recently told Life News in a statement: “While Planned Parenthood and its counterparts like to repeat the company line that federal dollars do not directly fund abortions, commonsense tells us differently”. Normally votes having to do with abortion funding split pretty evenly along party lines. But these videos have changed the dynamic to be sure. Our elected officials in Washington are watching the walls of hypocrisy, rhetoric, and misinformation crumble before their very eyes, leaving them no place to hide. Any thoughts Senators Reed and Whitehouse??? How about you guys, Congressman Ciciline or Langevin??? In fact, here is a list of all of the elected officials who’ve consistently worn the endorsement of Planned Parenthood like a badge of honor during every election cycle:

I do battle daily with people who disagree with my politics. We argue over the answers to vexing questions like poverty, crime and the broken family unit. Over the years my views have morphed from straight party politics and relentless back and forth sniping with my opponents, into a retrospective analysis of how in the world will we ever undo the nightmare of our societal decline and leave our children a better world? How can we return to God’s favor and protection when we can’t even protect or stand for our own future in the form of our unborn children? For me it keeps coming back to the fact that there are no short-cuts. You can’t keep putting Band-Aids on gunshot wounds, no matter what some pandering political type tells you to get your vote. No my fellow Christ followers, it starts at the beginning, the very beginning.

So if you truly have intentions to make a difference for the future of your children, our nation and the world, call your representatives in both Houses of Congress today and tell them you’ve had enough. Tell them you’re tired of being forced to validate the “choices” of others for the sake of political correctness. Tell them you refuse to stand by one more minute and watch the utter violence of abortion masqueraded as women’s healthcare, and that you won’t pay for that which flies in the face of everything you know to be morally right and just. Tell them they can no longer run from the tough questions, nor will you allow them to hide from the truth of the answers to those questions. And tell them the road back from the societal cancers which are consuming the very soul of our nation and its people, begins with honoring and protecting human life from conception until death.

For God’s sake, if we send any message to our posterity, let it be that…

Late breaking news: When faced with an opportunity to stop the slaughter of the unborn, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell failed to bring the abortion funding amendment for a vote, once again demonstrating that giving him the gavel of control in the Senate was a horrible mistake…
