I’d like to announce our upcoming course BIBLICAL HEBREW at South Attleboro AG’s program International Ministry Training College.

This is a one year study that will completely transform your relationship to the Bible. There will be NO COST for the class other than the cost of the materials, BASICS OF BIBLICAL HEBREW by Gary Pratico (one of my many Hebrew professors over the years). We will also use the BASICS OF BIBLICAL HEBREW WORKBOOK & FLASHCARDS.

I would like to offer the class in two different time-slots to maximize participation. So one class will meet three hours on Tuesday nights (6:30-9:30 PM) and the other class will meet Saturday Mornings 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM). I will also be offering special study sessions for those who would like some extra time with the teacher.

Each week we will do a short devotional in some Hebrew passage, review a chapter in the book (with my delightfully witty additions and insights (In my opinion anyway) into language and theology and the use of language tools) and begin working through the corresponding homework in the workbook.

While some are intimidated by the idea of learning to read a Biblical Language, let me say that I once taught a room full of Indian students to read Hebrew, do proper word studies, use commentaries and language tools and to dissect the Book of Ruth in Hebrew in just 8 weeks. If you are willing to dedicate an hour a day to doing the homework for the class, one year from now you will be able to do this and more. I will make it fun and insightful… but it will take dedication to that hour a day. You won’t be sorry.

Our first class will be Tuesday January 30th at 6:30 PM in the DCA Building room 212. The second group will begin Saturday February 3rd at 9:00 AM in the DCA Building room 212.

Registration will be the first day of class, but a note to tell me you will be coming would be appreciated. No need to respond if you do not plan to attend.

I recommend purchasing the materials before the first day of class. You can get them all quickly from Amazon.com.
