MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – City on a Hill Christian Church (COAH) will host a series of enrichment seminars, entitled “The Breakthrough Series”, for the community, the first of which will be on the topic, “Understanding Depression” and will take place Friday, May 18 at 7 p.m. at 999 West Main Road in Middletown, R.I.
The seminars, which are free to the public, will each feature a topical seminar by COAH Pastor Rick Bringhurst followed by a Q&A session, fellowship, and refreshments. Pastor Rick Bringhurst and his wife, Kelly Bringhurst will be available to speak after each seminar, as time allows, or by appointment if further time is needed.
“My goal for these seminars is to help people overcome their personal struggles, whether depression, anxiety or conflict resolution, among others,” said Pastor Rick Bringhurst. “I believe the Bible is still relevant today and can provide practical help to these struggles,” he said.
According to Bringhurst, the church was founded in January 2017 with 25 members and continues to grow. Other ministries include a Sunday morning service, Bible classes taught on Sunday morning for adults and children, a women’s Bible study taught on Friday mornings, a Tuesday night Bible study, and various dinner events open to the
public.
“We invite the entire community to attend these seminars, even if they are not necessarily challenged with the month’s topic,” said Bringhurst.
